Day 1: A Hunt for Whimsy and Beauty
Morning: Start your day with a scavenger hunt for the whimsical Winged Horse sculptures scattered across the Outer Banks. These vibrant, larger-than-life sculptures, each designed by a different artist, celebrate the region's rich history.
Lunch: Grab a midday meal at Coastal Cantina — a bit of casual Tex Mex with delicious cocktails. Then spend some time at Duck Town Hall, exploring their rotating art exhibits.
Afternoon: Stroll through the beautiful 11-acre Duck Town Park. Then take a walk on the Duck Soundside Boardwalk which leads to the waterfront shops. Along the boardwalk, discover the Sea Dragon and Yellowhouse Gallery. And for all you book lovers out there, pay a visit to Duck’s Cottage Coffee & Books, a quaint coffee shop with a fantastic selection of books.

During the summer months, plan to see the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, a breathtaking performance under the stars.
Day 3: Unleash Your Inner Artist
Morning: Get creative at the Front Porch Cafe! Paint your own pottery, design jewelry, or explore the world of glass art. Then hunt for treasures on the beach! Collect smooth sea glass and unique shells, letting the beauty of nature inspire you.
Lunch: Enjoy a casual lunch in a vibrant setting at Mama Kwan’s Outer Banks Grill and Tiki Bar.
Afternoon: Visit the Gallery Row Arts District, where you can browse through fine art galleries, original design jewelry shops, chic boutiques, and charming gift shops. Be sure to stop by local favorites like Seaside Art Gallery and Seagreen Gallery. Then head over to the artist-operated Kill Devil Hills Cooperative Gallery and Studios. Meet local artists, and browse their paintings, glass, jewelry, metal art, photography, and sculpture. Don’t forget to grab a souvenir!
Evening: For dinner, dive into the tradition of Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse, a favorite spot in Kill Devil Hills that features authentic sushi, seafood, and steaks.
